GLOBESPAN AIRWAYS, probably Scotland”s largest airline, run by the energetic Tom Dalrymple but hardly known south of the border, is to introduce twice daily flights between both Edinburgh and Glasgow to Stansted in direct competition with easyJet. Edinburgh comes on line 1 June with Glasgow later in the month. In a marketing initiative the carrier will offer either very competitive fares, or a more expensive ticket, the flexible option, allowing travellers unlimited name changes and the ability to move their flight dates/times without penalty.
