GLASGOW”S air war is hotting up with the news that Edinburgh-based Globespan.com is transferring its operations from Prestwick to Abbotsinch and at the same time managing director Tom Dalrymple (seen left) announcing a major expansion for its summer 2004 programme. The summer 2004 schedule involves nine international routes with Nice, Prague and Rome entirely new. Additionally Globespan will operate four flights a week to Tenerife, two to Faro, and daily services to Barcelona, Malaga, Palma and Alicante. Globespan is currently finalising plans for up to four new international services from Edinburgh to Europe which will be announced shortly.
