Passengers travelling out of Gatwick today (May 26) could be forced to fly without luggage after a fault with the airport’s baggage system.
Gatwick said passengers will be able to depart on time but some flights are leaving without luggage.
The fault is reportedly with a conveyor belt system that sorts bags before they arrive at the aircraft so they are being processed manually.
An airport spokesperson said: "They'll go to their destinations and airline staff will be working to reunite passengers with their baggage at the earliest opportunity.”
