VIRGIN NIGERIA has arrived at Gatwick from Lagos in effect complementing the operations of sister company Virgin Atlantic, with its daily service from Heathrow. BA also flies to Lagos from LHR. The flights operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and return on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays into Gatwick and are flown by A340-300 aircraft with a configured 40 business class, 28 Premium Economy and 187 economy class. Customers will also experience Virgin Nigeria”s new product, which includes a dynamic in-flight entertainment system featuring a Nigerian Channel, Nigerian onboard meals as well as Nigerian crew. The flight launch coincides with the introduction of service from Lagos ” Johannesburg, bringing the number of destinations operated by Virgin Nigeria to six. Virgin Nigeria is the registered, fully private sector, flag carrier of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, owned 49% by Virgin Atlantic and 51% by Nigerian Institutional shareholders.
