BREAKING NEWS: BRITISH Airways passengers may be choking on their chicken wraps with the news that Gate Gourmet has been retained by the airline to supply its catering. The food suppliers, which sacked hundreds of staff in August leading to cancelled flights and no food onboard aircraft, has signed a new contract with BA. The fate of the dismissed staff remains undecided and talks are ongoing over new contracts to possibly re-employ those who walked out over revised terms and conditions. BA said at the time it was an innocent victim of the dispute, but faced the consequences of selling off its catering arm.
