GATE GOURMET”S dispute with some of its staff looks like it has finally come to an end, and with it the continuing problems British Airways has with its in flight services, now on short haul routes. Under a deal thrashed out over recent weeks, and agreed at staff vote, 144 workers will be forced to take compulsory redundancy and hundreds of others will leave voluntary. Long term it will take some time before the company builds up its relationship with BA, who still has to sign off an extended catering supply contract.
