THAI INTERNATIONAL is to receive four new aircraft over the coming months, two Airbus A340-500s and two A340-600s. This will allow the airline to increase services on some of its major long haul routes and fly non-stop from Bangkok to Auckland, opening up more alternatives for UK passengers wanting to go to New Zealand. Brand new for the airline is a non-stop 17 hour flight to New York on a six days per week basis from 1 May. This will be operated by an A340-500 aircraft with 60 seats in Royal Silk Class, 42 seats in Premium Economy, and 113 seats in economy.
