Flybe has extended its seasonal flights between Leeds Bradford airport and Cornwall Airport Newquay and will now operate the service through the winter.
The route has proven popular during the summer flying season, according to Flybe, which will operate flights twice a week between 27 October and 27 March 2020.
Flights will depart Leeds Bradford on Mondays at 1620, arriving in Cornwall at 1735, with the return service leaving at 1820 and landing at 1935. On Fridays, the service will take off from Leeds at 0805 and arrive at 0920, with the return departing at 1005 and landing at 1120.
The news comes after Connect Airways received clearance to acquire Flybe. The consortium made up of Virgin Atlantic, Stobart Group and Cyrus Capital plans to eventually transition the airline to the Virgin brand.
Flybe chief commercial officer Roy Kinnear said: “We are pleased to add this popular summer route to our winter schedule for the first time this year, giving our customers the opportunity to enjoy the best that both destinations have to offer. The timings are perfect for long weekend and, to ensure the very best fares, we would advise early booking.”
