Flybe has announced that chief commercial officer Paul Simmons (pictured) is to leave the company in January 2016.
He will take up a role with Malaysia Airlines based in Kuala Lumpur.
The regional airline said following Simmons’ departure it will move to a new commercial organisational structure. The CCO role will be split into two, with both sitting on the operating board and reporting to CEO, Saad Hammad.
The first role is to head network planning and development, establishing this as a separate function. The second role is to lead the remaining commercial teams, which include sales and marketing and customer care.
Saad Hammad, Flybe's CEO said: "Paul joined Flybe in 2013 and has had a strong impact in improving our customer proposition and refreshing our brand presentation.
“He has been offered a great role at Malaysia Airlines and will be with us for up to six months to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities.”
