Flybe has appointed Christine Ourmieres-Widener as its CEO.
Starting January 16, she will replace Saad Hammad who stepped down in October after three years leading the regional airline.
Ourmieres-Widener joins Flybe from American Express GBT where she was chief global sales officer. Previously she was CEO at Cityjet and VP New York for Air France KLM.
“We are delighted that Christine is joining Flybe at what a very exciting time for the company, as we transition to become an increasingly customer-driven business,” said executive chairman Simon Laffin. “Christine brings extensive experience of aviation and travel, as well as deep knowledge of the UK regional aviation market, which will be extremely valuable to Flybe. I very much look forward to working with her,” he added.
