Regional carrier Flybe has launched a new round-year service from Manchester to Lyon in France.
The airline is also to add another French destination, Chambery, from Manchester which will operate from December 20 to March 17 on a weekly basis.
Manchester-Lyon flights will run daily with departures from Manchester at 11.05am from Monday to Friday, and at 11.55am on Sundays.
Flybe’s chief revenue officer Vincent Hodder said: “We are excited to be launching our new service to Lyon and as well as expanding our offering to our north-west passengers.
“Lyon is an appealing option for both business and leisure travellers with frequent daily flights that give customers the flexibility they need when arranging their travel plans.”
Stephen Turner, Manchester airport’s commercial director, added: “We’re confident both routes will prove hugely popular with the 22 million people in our catchment area.”
