BRISTOL is to become the fourth hub for FlyBE. following the introduction of operations at Birmingham, Belfast and Southampton. First to be launched will be daily flights to Toulouse from 23 October followed by Bordeaux, Bergerac and Murcia next March. With Bristol, an important centre for Airbus production, the new services will take over from what was previously a private company flight between the two facilities. FLyBE says that its intentions at Bristol is to add new routes rather than compete on existing services. The airline has also announced that it is to start twice daily Southampton ” Edinburgh flights at the beginning of the winter schedule, in direct competition to British Airways who fly four times each weekday with a reduced service at the weekend. http://www.flybe.com
