EXETER AIRPORT continues to drag itself into the mainstream of UK domestic operations with the news that FlyBe is to introduce twice daily Bombardier Q400 services to Paris Charles de Gaulle from the start of next summer”s airline season. The only alternatives for much of Devon are Bristol Airport, 65 miles north up the M5 (British Airways and expensive), or Southampton a gruesome 110 miles to the east. The airline reported its best ever half year profits of ”14m to the end of September with its owners, the Walker Family Trust, positioning itself for a sale.
