TALLINN, the capital of new EU recruit Estonia, continues to boom as an airline destination. KLM is the latest carrier to announce services introducing a daily, 0950, Fokker 70 KLM Cityhopper flight from Amsterdam starting 27 March. The timing will allow connections from a number of UK airports. Tallinn becomes KLM”s third destination in the Baltic countries which, in May of this year, joined the European Union. Since 31 May 2004, KLM operates twice daily round-trip services to Riga, Latvia's capital, also using a KLM cityhopper Fokker 70. Furthermore, KLM has a code-share agreement with Lithuanian Airlines, which offers transfer passengers a twice daily Lithuanian Boeing 737 service to and from the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. easyJet is also set to launch services from Stansted to Tallinn.
