EXCEL AIRWAYS, part of the Libra group, has taken delivery (at a noisy hangar party at Gatwick) of its first Boeing 767-300 aircraft which, as reported on 9 June, will be used on twice weekly services between the airport and the islands of Grenada, Tobago and St Kitts and from December to Barbados. Passengers have a choice of Excel One, Excel Premium Economy and economy. Excel One features a dedicated cabin of 24 club-style seats with a seat pitch of 45". It is a proper first class operation with a baggage allowance of 40 kilos. The Excel Premium Economy service has a dedicated cabin with 28 seats providing a 34" seat pitch, 40 kilo baggage allowance, complimentary head sets, drinks, hot meals with a choice of entree and hot and cold towel service among the benefits.
