ETIHAD AIRWAYS, now designated as the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and which last week began services from Heathrow (T3) to Abu Dhabi, has also inaugurated flights from its home base to Bangkok with an initial frequency of four times per week. Etihad made it first flight on 5 November 2003 and has quickly established a series of routes around the Middle East hubbing on the Abu Dhabi terminal, a much smaller and very easily used contrast to its near neighbour at Dubai. The airline operates three-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft and has also recently introduced a courtesy bus service from Dubai and also from the northern Emirates to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
