Etihad Airways, now two years old, has introduced an exclusive check-in facility for its Diamond and Pearl Zone guests at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The latest flight information is displayed above each check-in desk, and passengers are fast-tracked through immigration. As well as Abu Dhabi the airport also caters for much of Dubai, less than one hour away along a fast dual carriageway.
The airline points out that business travellers can enjoy a seamless journey from leaving their hotel to arriving at their destination, as the airline provides chauffeur services to the airport from any United Arab Emirates location. After check-in and immigration Premium Zone guests can then make use of the airline's Premium Lounge, which offers wireless internet, fax and phone services, as well as a nearby gym.
If you're flying to London or Manchester Etihad will also offer chauffeur services within 100 miles of the airport - a facility the airline intends to roll out at other international destinations soon.
