Ethiopian Airlines has announced it will launch three additional flights per week between Heathrow and Addis Ababa for the summer and hinted at possible UK expansion.
The extra services, which will run from 2 June through 27 October on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, will bring Ethiopian’s total number of weekly flights from Heathrow to ten.
The airline says all flights will operate with the new A350, with 313 seats in economy and 30 business class lie-flat seats.
Michael Yohannes, UK country manager for Ethiopian Airlines, also hinted at the possibility of establishing flights to Addis Ababa from other UK airports.
He commented: “The UK is an important and growing market for us and this increase in capacity reinforces our commitment to widen our foot print and paves the way to possibly extend our reach to other parts of the UK in the very near future. Together with my team, I look forward to closely working with our travel trade partners to further strengthen our commercial relationships.”
