EMIRATES is to bring forward plans to expand flights to and from the UK due to a fast-growing customer demand. On 1 August, four months earlier than planned, the airline will launch a third daily evening service from Gatwick to Dubai. Three-class Airbus 330-200 aircraft will be used giving departures at 1000 and 1400 for same day arrival, and the new 2115 which gets in early next morning. The airline will now have nine daily ex-UK flights to Dubai, from Birmingham (1), Gatwick (3), Heathrow (3) and Manchester (2). The new Gatwick flight connects with Emirates' services to the Australian cities of Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and, from 26 October, Brisbane. http://www.emirates.com
