EASYJET now has a ”fast” check-in for luggage-less travellers (used mainly by the business travel fraternity) at Luton airport. Following a two-month long trial evaluation, and more or less coinciding with the opening of the new departures hall, the airline has opened a new desk on the right hand side of the departures hall by the window. The service is very quick, perhaps the biggest complaint being at the time of writing it was not signposted very well. easyJet, unlike some of its competitors, does not now weigh hand luggage. Take on board what you like providing it is not more than 55 x 40 x 20cm (21 x 15 x 7.5 inches) and you can lift it into the overhead locker. They also provide a bin of this size near the check-in. If your bag fits it is OK.
