EASYJET took delivery at Toulouse last week of the first of a 120 aircraft order for Airbus A319 aircraft. The carrier will receive five A319s this year, all of which will be based at subsidiary easyJet Switzerland in Geneva. The remaining aircraft will be delivered to the UK carrier by the end of 2007. All will be powered by CFM-56-5B engines. easyJet has gone for a 156 passenger 3 + 3 single-class layout featuring a wider aisle than normal.
