EASYJET has come up with a new connotation of the airline term ”red eye special”. The airline”s check-in facilities at Gatwick are now open all night. Passengers travelling on the airline with scheduled departure times of up to 0830 can check both themselves and their luggage in from 2200 the evening before. Flyers wishing to try this new service can use the normal easyJet departure areas in zone 'A' of the South Terminal. If they want to then leave the airport, no problem. However the rules regarding boarding still remain. Be at the gate no later than 20 minutes before departure.
