ISTANBUL is the latest destination for the budget airlines, their searches wider and wider as new aircraft committed for are delivered
from Toulouse and Seattle.
EasyJet has now won UK traffic rights to Istanbul, Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, across the Bosporus on
the Asian side of the city, and will introduce flights on 1 August from Luton, initially on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays increasing
to daily from 4 September.
At four hours it will be easyJet”s longest sector to date, the airline planning to use Boeing 737-700s.
The
airline is already established at Sabiha with a four times a week service from Basel.
