EAST AFRICAN SAFARI AIR has stopped flying into Europe after one of its Boeing 767s had an engine fire on departure from Rome and was impounded there and things got worse with its other B767 being clamped at Heathrow. The London office has closed but at the time of writing the airline is still operating domestic services under the East African Safari Air Express brand. Tour operator Somak now plans to charter an Excel 767 for its weekly operation to Mombassa.
