DUO, the Birmingham based airline created in June 2003 from a management buyout of Maersk Air UK Ltd, is to celebrate its first anniversary with the creation of four new routes. From 1June, duo will start flights from Birmingham to Shannon and Pisa and from Edinburgh to Shannon and Bordeaux. The additional routes mean that duo will serve eight international destinations this summer, 14 of them from Birmingham International. Duo also has a twice-daily service connecting Birmingham and Edinburgh. The airline currently operates five Bombardier 68-seat CRJ 700 aircraft and four 48-seat CRJ 200s.
