DUO, son of Maersk UK, a new full service airline flying from Birmingham and Edinburgh to 15 European cities, has launched a chauffeur pick-up and drop-off service available free to any of its Privilege fare customers living within 30 miles of either airport. Any passenger booking the fully flexible Duo Privilege fare can phone the Duo contact centre and make arrangements to be collected from home on their day of departure and dropped off again on their return. Duo Privilege Chauffeur Service will contact passengers on the day or evening prior to travel to re-confirm pick up location and times. At pick-up customers are offered a telephone check-in facility. This information is passed by the chauffeur to a special Duo co-ordinator who deals directly with airport staff. If a Privilege customer lives further than 30 miles from Birmingham or Edinburgh airport, they can still use the chauffer service at a supplement of ”1.53 per additional driven mile.
