DORNIER still lives on, just! The administrator for AvCraft Aerospace, law firm PLUTA, say that it is reducing the workforce at Oberphaffenhofen whilst it strives to find an investor for the manufacture of the Dornier 328 series aircraft. Just over half the current staff of 345 are being kept on, a positive sign, as in the main, administrators tend to reduce their liabilities to as little as possible. Since taking over from the receivers of Fairchild Dornier GmbH in March 2003, AvCraft has delivered a total of 13 aircraft and built two brand new 328Jet aircraft.
