DONCASTER ROBIN HOOD AIRPORT is to become a home for the TUI airlines Britannia and Thomsonfly. For summer 2005 Britannia will base one Boeing 757 at what is effectively the first proper airport to be opened in the UK for over 50 years (with respect to London City which is restricted to short haul services). Doncaster will become Thomsonfly's second departure point with four aircraft using it as a home and offering a range of budget flights and routes to be announced shortly. Thomson Holidays summer 2005 is already on sale and Thomsonfly flights from its second base will be available before Christmas 2004.
