ANKARA, capital of Turkey, is to be linked non-stop to London for the first time. From 26 March, under the banner of British Airways, BMED is to introduce a six times per week two-class service from Heathrow, which will go daily from July. The new flight coincides with the delivery of another Airbus A321, part of a seven aircraft order, the first delivered in early February. Ankara is number 16 in an expanding list of destinations in Africa, central Asia and the Middle East for the independent franchise partner of British Airways, founded in 1994.
