DELTA AIR LINES, in spite of being technically insolvent and in Chapter 11, is aggressively expanding across the Atlantic and today inaugurates its first flight between the world's largest airline hub in Atlanta and Nice, also New York JFK to Budapest.
Last week it was the turn of Atlanta-Copenhagen.
Operating all the services are Boeing 767-300ER aircraft in a two-class configuration, featuring Delta's award-winning BusinessElite service, itself due for upgrade later in the spring.
These are the latest in a series of 11 new trans-Atlantic routes to be launched by June. In April, Delta inaugurated its first service between Atlanta and D”sseldorf, and in March between Atlanta and Tel Aviv.
In total, Delta will fly 23 routes across the Atlantic this summer.
