DELTA AIR LINES is adding (or putting) a putting green into its Crown Room Club at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. (You heard it first in ABTN ” and no the rumour that Heathrow is to place goals in a departure lounge to encourage more soccer teams to use the airport is not true ” but snooker tables might be added). Delta today opens at its Concourse T facility at Atlanta, with Matt Kuchar, winner of the 2002 Honda Classic, doing the honours. It is the first of several to be installed over the next few months in Crown Room Clubs in airports including Dulles Washington, Salt Lake City, Cincinnati, West Palm Beach, Phoenix and JFK New York. Putters and balls will be made available. These people are serious folks.
