DART GROUP Plc, the listed company whose public face is the airlines Channel Express and Jet 2, has acquired six of the former Ansett Boeing 737-300 through aircraft brokers Focus Aviation. Deliveries of the aircraft will take place over the next few months. From its origins in 1971 with the formation of a company to transport flowers by air from the Channel Islands to the UK mainland and then by road to wholesale markets, the Dart Group has grown into a significant distribution and aviation services organisation based in England. Through its airline subsidiaries, Channel Express and Jet2, it operates cargo and passenger aircraft on charter contracts and low-cost passenger flights throughout Europe. http://www.dartgroup.co.uk. http://www.focus-aviation.cc
