CYPRUS AIRWAYS is to be the official carrier to Team GB in their quest for success at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. The airline was chosen for several reasons including the network that services the UK, Cyprus and Greece and the frequency of the flights between these destinations. The Cyprus Airways fleet also includes their subsidiary EuroCypria, based in Cyprus and associated airline Hellas Jet, based in Greece. Cyprus Airways operates 29 scheduled flights per week from four major UK airports, whilst EuroCypria operates 20 weekly flights from 13 UK airports including the regions. Hellas Jet offers twice daily scheduled flights from Athens to London. The airline is also committed to assisting athletes and officials travelling to the Camp in Cyprus for individual sports training camps in the run up to the Games.
