COVENTRY AIRPORT has opened a brand new purpose-built 8000 sq ft General Aviation Terminal on the north side of the airport, called Anson House, complete with its own aircraft parking area and re-fuelling facilities. Essentially designed for the owner pilot and private pilot the facility also houses long term tenants of Coventry Airport, Air Atlantic Flight Training. The former Birmingham Airport Managing Director Bob Taylor opened the terminal in his capacity as Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands. He heard Mike Collett, Chairman of Coventry Airport, support the general issue of Birmingham operations but said that he felt that expansion could be contained by using larger aircraft on the single main runway.
