CONCORDE will continue to attract headlines until it probably goes out of service on 24 October, and then perhaps up to 17 December when the last active British Airways aircraft could be delivered to a US museum, the date coinciding with 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers first controlled powered flight. According to Saturday”s The Times plans to put a single aircraft into the air show circuit have been scuppered by Airbus, successor to the Anglo-French consortium that originally built the aircraft. The manufacturer will not support the
AoC of the aircraft after it is withdrawn from scheduled service.
