New Cypriot airline Cobalt Air has launched services between Manchester and Larnaca.
Cobalt, which operated its maiden flight between Larnaca and Athens last month, will fly twice per week on the Manchester-Larnaca route using an Airbus A320.
The start-up is the first Cyprus-based airline to begin operating since Cyprus Airways ceased flying in January 2015.
Cobalt, which is using a low-cost model and former staff from Cyprus Airways, is also planning flights to Stansted, Dublin, Thessaloniki and Crete’s two airports: Heraklion and Chania.
The airline has also said that it intends to start non-stop services between Cyprus and China from 2017.
