CATHAY PACIFIC AIRWAYS is to restore around 170 flights per week to destinations across its network which were suspended during the peak of the SARS scare. From July the airline will operate 71% of its full schedule in anticipation of an expected rise in demand over the summer. At its worst the schedule was cut back by 45%. By next month Hong Kong will be linked directly by CX to New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Tokyo, Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Seoul, Taipei, Manila, Denpasar, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Bangkok, Bahrain, Dubai, Karachi, Johannesburg, Rome, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris and London. From 1 July the London route in particular will see a progressive re-introduction of a triple daily service with a full schedule commencing every day from 18 August.
