CARLISLE AIRPORT could have new owners from 7 April according to reports in Cumberland”s News and Star newspaper. The former RAF Crosby on Eden base, with its 1824m main runway, is currently owned by Lord Balleyedmond”s Haughey Airports Ltd. The investor is WA Developments Ltd, which also owns the Eddie Stobart trucking business. Plans for the airport include services to Luton.
