BUZZ, the KLM owned budget airline, has followed up its announcement of Bournemouth as a base (see ABTN 21 October 2002) with confirmation that it will fly seven routes including Belfast and Glasgow-Prestwick, the first time it has offered domestic UK services. Other initial destinations are Amsterdam, Bergerac, Malaga, Murcia and Paris Charles de Gaulle. buzz said it would offer over 750,000 low cost seats from Bournemouth in its first year of operation. Two 148-seat Boeing 737-300 aircraft will be based at the airport.
