British Airways is to move its flights serving Accra, (ACC), Doha (DOH) and Islamabad (ISB) from Heathrow to Gatwick with the start of the summer 2021 season on 28 March 2021.
The airline says it will offer a refund only if it is specifically requested by the passenger, instead preferring to rebook the customer onto an alternative BA flight.
Connecting customers who will now have to make the change between Heathrow and Gatwick airports can rebook onto routes that BA serves from Gatwick free of charge, including its new daily Manchester service that is launching at the same time.
The airline will serve the route daily using A319s. The flight will leave Manchester at 0700 or 0710, arriving in Gatwick at 0815 or 0825, depending on the day. The return flight leaves Gatwick at 0945 or 0955, arriving in Manchester at 1055 or 1105.
We exclusively revealed yesterday how BA was permanently dropping 13 long-haul routes.
