British Airways and Qatar Airways have announced a joint agreement which will take effect from October 30.
The deal will see the two airlines codesharing on all non-stop flights between the UK and Doha.
The two carriers also said passengers will benefit from a “wider choice of flights, an enhanced network and extras for frequent flyer members”.
Last month, Qatar Airways increased its share in BA-owner IAG to 20 per cent.The Gulf carrier, which raised its holding from 15.7 per cent, said it didn’t plan on adding to its stake.
Qatar Airways group CEO Akbar al Baker said: "Today’s announcement reinforces our already established relationship with IAG and we look forward to welcoming British Airways’ direct flights to our hub, Hamad International Airport, where we can provide passengers with seamless access to our global network of more than 150 destinations.”
