British Airways has continued to expand its short-haul network by adding a new route from Heathrow to Nuremberg in Germany.
The flights to Bavaria’s second largest city will initially operate four times per week from 27 March, which will increase to six weekly services from 1 May. The year-round route will also operate four times weekly for the winter 2022/23 season.
Neil Chernoff, BA’s director of networks and alliances, said: “The addition of this route to our short-haul network ahead of the summer season is perfect timing for anyone who would like to plan their trips for the year ahead.”
The move comes after British Airways increased the number of routes from London City for summer 2022, as well as launching a new short-haul subsidiary BA Euroflyer from Gatwick from March 2022.
BA has also relaunched new long-haul flights to the US, including the Heathrow to Portland route, which will start services in June 2022.
