BRISTOL, the largest city in the UK”s southwest, has won the much-coveted race to be Continental Airlines” latest regional gateway. The Houston-based carrier will introduce daily services to its Newark-New York hub next May. Flights will be operated by Boeing 757s featuring the airline”s highly successful BusinessFirst. Passengers arriving at what is officially called Liberty International Airport on Continental flights from Bristol will be able to use exclusive immigration and customs facilities in Terminal C3, Continental's Global Gateway, and connect quickly and easily with the airline”s services to 170 destinations throughout the Americas, including 143 served non-stop, in almost all cases without changing terminals.
