Qatar Airways on-off order for Boeing 777s is back on again. General Electric says it has taken an order for 40 GE90 engines and has quoted CEO Akbar Al Baker in a statement. Boeing also announced the order during the Farnborough Airshow. But the story was retracted, together with a planned press conference.
Now though, Baker has now firmly committed himself to a Boeing product. Deliveries are expected to start next year.
