BINTER CANARIAS the privately owned Spanish carrier has taken delivery of an ATR 72-500, the lead aircraft of six ordered earlier this year. The new 72-seater is the first to be painted in the new Binter Canarias” livery (see http://www.abtn.co.uk) and features the new ”Elegance” cabin, a concept which has been developed to further enhance the level of comfort for the passengers on the ATR family of aircraft. Binter Canarias was founded in March 1988 and last year carried 2.4m passengers on the Canaries inter island network. ATR has now sold 687 aircraft (381 ATR 42 and 306 ATR 72) since the beginning of the programme, including 11 orders this year.
