BWIA WEST INDIES AIRWAYS has confirmed that it is in the final stages of acquiring its second A340-300 aircraft, due to go into service in February 2003. The Airbus A340-300 will be in a two-class configuration with 32 seats in Business/First and 252 in economy class. From February, BWIA will offer an all Airbus A340 service on its twice-weekly non-stop service from Manchester to Barbados, in addition to its daily flights out of Heathrow, offering a three times weekly operation to Antigua and St Lucia and thrice-weekly to Barbados before continuing on to BWIA”s hub, Port of Spain, Trinidad.
