BWIA has been given another lifeline following discussions between its major creditor ILFC, the aircraft leasing company, and representatives of the government of the Republic Trinidad and Tobago who are a major shareholder in the airline. The leasing company seized two Boeing 737s at Miami International Airport last week, and said it would take six more if the company did not meet its debt. A four-month moratorium on outstanding payments has been made according to officials. Schedules to the UK through the summer will continue as planned. http://www.bwee.com
