BAC GROUP, the Horley (Gatwick) based charter, leasing and aircraft support company, has a new major investor. Air Contractors, based in Dublin, with a fleet of ATR, Boeing 727 and Airbus A300 aircraft has made what it terms is a ”substantial investment” into the group that was established in 1981 and consists of four primary businesses, BAC Express, BAC Leasing/Support, BAC Sport and an investment in Aeroscot Engineering based in Edinburgh. Clients include Royal Mail and FedEx. Air Contractors itself is owned by CMB of Belgium and Safair, which is part of Imperial Holdings of South Africa.
