BAA and British Airways are in discussion over compensation for a serious disruption of flights caused by the snow in the UK last week, according to The Times. No doubt other carriers will jump onto the bandwagon. Amongst passengers delayed was BA chief executive Rod Eddington. The airline is thought to have lost over 200 services. Whether the new European rules would cover weather delays in the future is open to discussion but the problems are thought to have cost BA at least one million pounds.
