BRITISH AIRWAYS has confirmed that its services from Gatwick to Newquay and Plymouth will cease at the end of the summer season. The Bristol ” Newcastle route will also disappear. Both operations are flown by Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft. Air Wales says that it is interested in the Gatwick routes providing it can be guaranteed the eight daily BA slots. Sutton Harbour Plc, Plymouth Airport”s owner, is also thought to be interested in either setting up its own in-house airline or forming a partnership with a third party.
